Mweelrea is the highest mountain in Connacht at 814m.
Mweelrea encompasses five tops, with two major named summits, Mweelrea (814 m) and Ben Bury (795 m). There are a number of ascent routes the easiest being from Silver Strand on the western side. Our preferred route is from the Delphi Valley, starting at Doolough and ascending via “the ramp” underneath the stunning glacial rock face of Ben Lugamore.
