Towering majestically over the Connemara countryside are The Twelve Bens, sometimes called the Twelve Pins. Views from the peaks offer an unrivaled panoramic view of the Connemara countryside, as far as the ocean. The highest point in the Twelve Bens is Benbaun at 729 metres (2,392 ft). They provide excellent walking and climbing opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.
