The Mournes Hiking Weekend (Fully booked)

Please note this hike is fully booked

The Mourne Mountains are situated in Co Down near the beautiful seaside village of Newcastle. They were the inspiration for the song written many years ago by Percy French (1896) with the famous lyrics "Where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea"

The highest summit in the Mourne Mountains is Slieve Donard 853m. It is also the highest peak in Ulster.

The Mournes are highly recommended for their outstanding beauty, stunning scenery, reservoirs and the famous Mourne Wall which took 18 years to build and was completed in 1922. It is 22 miles (35.5km) in length and connects the summits of no less than 15 mountains in the Mournes, including Slieve Donard.
