"Celebrate St Patrick's Festival weekend in the Mournes"

The Mourne Mountains inner horseshoe embraces Slieve Binnian, Slievelamagan, Cove Mountain, Slieve Beg and Rocky mountain. It encompasses the beautiful Annalong valley and river. 
During this hike we will enjoy stunning views of the Silent Valley and Ben Crom Reservoirs. We will also look down on the picturesque Blue Lough underneath Slievelamagan. Crossing over Slieve Beg there is an opportunity to view the steep gully on the eastern face known as "The Devil's Coachroad"
This hike is one of the finest the Mournes has to offer and presents an overall challenging day both in terms of distance and elevation gain.

Meet at Carrick Little car park (on Hill Head Road)
At 9:30am 

Cost: 30 Euro per person. 
Group size: Max no 12 (Early registration recommended) 
Time: 6/7 hours.

Difficulty level. Hard. 

This is a tough demanding hike requiring a good level of fitness. 
Pre registration is essential.

Equipment required:
Good waterproof boots and waterproof clothing are essential; hiking trousers are advised, (no jeans please); spare warm layer; hat and gloves; lunch and/or snacks; water or juice drink, (1.5 litres); small rucksack to carry it all in.
Walking poles are advisable and will provide additional support
